Cookie Policy
last updated · May 1, 2026
We keep cookie usage small and honest. selfra does not run analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social-network trackers, or cross-site identifiers. The cookies we do set are either strictly necessary or, in narrow cases, used to remember your accessibility preferences.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. The same idea applies to similar technologies — local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB — that browsers and progressive web apps use to keep state between page loads.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (cannot be disabled)
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__session | Clerk | Maintains your authenticated session | 1 hour, refreshed on activity |
__client_uat | Clerk | Records last sign-in time | Session |
selfra.zoom | selfra | Caches the start-page transition state to avoid replays | Tab session |
Preferences (first-party local storage)
| Key | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
selfra.ambient | Remembers whether you muted the ambient sound | Until cleared |
selfra.motion | Stores your reduced-motion choice when overridden in-app | Until cleared |
3. What we do not do
- No analytics, telemetry, or product-usage tracking cookies.
- No ad networks (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok, etc.) — we don't advertise.
- No fingerprinting based on device characteristics.
- No third-party cookies that follow you across other websites.
4. Push notifications and device tokens
Push notifications use device tokens (Apple APNs / Google FCM) rather than cookies. They are tied to your account and are deleted when you sign out, disable notifications, or delete your account.
5. Controlling cookies
- You can clear cookies and storage at any time through your browser settings.
- Disabling strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the app from functioning.
- On iOS / Android, you can manage device push tokens from your OS notification settings.
6. Changes
If we ever add a new cookie, this page will be updated and the change announced through the same channels described in our Privacy Policy.
